I have finally got a pair of French Sole shoes in my collection! I have only been wanting a pair for the last three years! The reason that I think this has taken me so long, is because I know they are always there. Never before have they done a design that has completely drawn me in, apart from their classics. This pair is certainly not ordinary and from the moment @Fernabouttown instagrammed them… I needed them in my possession.
French Sole for me encapsulates the ballet pump. Founder Jane Winkworth has just got it so right and since creating the brand in 1989 she is now known as “Queen of the Ballet Flats”.
If you know me or the blog, you will know that I invest in my shoe collection. Generally the investment is in heels though, which is not sensible really because I wear flats so much more often.
French Sole is an investment worth making, and a fraction of the price I spend on heels!
I had my eye on these for a little while, then French Sole emailed me letting me know that they had a sale… right next to pay day – they knew what they were doing! It was a sign, a sign that I was taking full advantage of! This shoe doesn’t come in half sizes, so I went for the size 38. I am usually a 38 on the High Street and in trainers but 37.5 in luxury. The 38 fit beautifully and they are SO comfortable!
I can’t believe I haven’t bought a pair sooner, no one explained the comfort level of these shoes to me! It is like a pillow for my sole! I’m pretty sure this is not the end of my French Sole collection – I’m in love.
French Sole do a selection of different style ballet flats to suit everyone. These particular ones are their style called Henrietta. Henrietta suits a narrow to medium width foot, which are ideal for me because I have narrow feet. The Henrietta style have an elegant low vamp, which exposes a little toe cleavage – Sexy! I think the Henrietta is the perfect ballet flat and everyone needs a pair in their collection. It even has a tiny little heel to give you that lift and stops you from being entirely flat.
This shoe is a beautiful pastel pink woven textile with a leather toecap. It was originally £120 and it’s now in the sale for £96. Taking it to just under £100 suddenly makes it much more justifiable in my head?!
You can pick this exact style up in their sale now, by clicking here. They still have all sizes in stock too!
Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to share my excitement about my new additions. If you – like me, have been thinking about investing in French Sole, make use of the sale now on and grab yourself a pair. I promise, you will not regret it!
Keep your eyes peeled for me styling them out all summer long on my Instagram! I have also started a new series on my YouTube channel of what I’m buying each month. I love hearing what my friends are buying, so I thought I’d share with you all – watch May’s buys here.
