Ecru Me?

While it is still chilly, I thought I would introduce you to my new jumper. It is the perfect addition to your transitional wardrobe as we all know GB weather is unpredictable.

I mentioned in a previous blog that I was lucky enough to go to LFW Festival thanks to Genevieve Sweeney. Obviously, while visiting the festival, I had to pay them a visit and thank them. When I was chatting to Genevieve, this jumper caught my eye. It was stunning and I loved that it was different.

The brand Genevieve Sweeney is a premium British knitwear brand and their pieces are really beautiful and extremely well made. Genevieve noticed that the jumper had caught my attention and was telling me about the pattern. She had asked the manufactures to stitch two patterns together – apparently this is really difficult to do, and proved to Genevieve that this was an excellent team to go with.

The jumper is unisex and has a lovely cosy fit. I couldn’t decide between a coupleĀ of the colour options, but in the end I went for this gorgeous cream (ecru) because I knew it would transition well into spring. The design means that it is also very breathable, meaning I can layer it, or simply throw it on in the summer evenings when it cools down.

I have already worn this loads since purchasing, I can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. I decided to style it for a casual approach for this blog as it is exactly that type of outfit I am living in at the moment – lets keep it real!

Jumper – Genevieve Sweeney // Jeans – Topshop // Coat – Oasis // Shoes – Converse // Bag – Victoria Beckham // Scarf – Burberry

  • The jumper is a wool, viscose and cashmere blend
  • Made in Britain
  • Hand wash or fry clean only (keep that in mind with the cream as it does get grubby more obviously)
  • Crew Neck
  • Boyfriend Fit
  • 5GG Heavy Weight

I went for the medium because I wanted that larger feel, I am 5’6″ and a size 8, so you can get a feel for how it fits.

Although this colour may have been a rookie choice due to showing dirt, I am so pleased I picked it. Not only does it transition well, it also makes colours pop – just what you want for spring. I mean, just look how pretty it looks with plain denim jeans?

This pretty pattern detail means that you won’t see anything else like it. It’s a stunning piece and makes a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe, no matter their style.

Right, I’m off to browse their newly updated website because… how can you not after seeing this piece.

Love Life,

Emma xxx

My stupid outtake – I’m always such a dork with Zoe!
