You are not a Sloane

img_4291I took a trip to Sloane Square to shoot some of my favourite outfits with a photographer I found on Instagram. Zoe has taken some photo’s for some bloggers that I follow. I loved the look of them and so I reached out to see if we could work together.

Zoe was so approachable and really lovely, she had some great ideas and so the following week I was in London. Zoe had some blogging hot spots and I was keen to try them out. If you follow my blog then you will know that these white backdrops are not my usual theme. As much as I love the London streets, it’s not easy nor realistic for me to get there every week when I shoot my looks. I live in Surrey and so I love the Surrey hills backgrounds… these mainly consist of greenery!

Shooting with Zoe was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again soon! I love this photo because it sums up the fun I had shooting with her 🙂

I put together two outfits that fit my favourite trend of the moment… the pyjama trend. My first look was very casual, adding a hint of luxury with my new Gucci shoes, my second look was a more dressed up look (this look will be on the blog on Wednesday).

I saw this shirt on another blogger and I had to have it, I did a little search and found it! Guess where I found it… New Look! I haven’t been or looked at New Look for a very long time and this shocked me in a good way. It has that fantastic slouch pyjama style and goes with everything!

I tucked the shirt into my fabulous new high waisted jeans with a brown belt. To add an edge to the look I whipped out the Gucci’s! Ahhh they make me go all funny, I love them so much. I also added this gorgeous necklace, which came from a boutique in Sunningdale called Heels.

Shirt – New Look // Jeans – GAP // Shoes – Gucci // Necklace – Heels // Bag – Zara // Belt – Massimo Dutti

These jeans were my spontaneous buy, I went into GAP to get a slouchy autumn jumper and stumbled on these. I have been living in my black Great Plain jeans and as much as I love them they aren’t high waisted. High waisted was what I was after, I wanted to crouch down without worrying about my pant being on show! I instantly fell in love with the fit of these GAP jeans and they had to come home with me.

I felt like this look slipped into the Sloaney lifestyle fabulously, yes, I can see myself living this life – Ha-Ha (IN MY DREAMS)!

After I finished shooting this look I went shopping in Club Monaco and Harrods and everything I tried on just transitioned well with either the shirt or the jeans. It is just such a versatile look.

I always find it helpful to know about sizing, so this is a new part I am adding to the blog. Let me know if you find it helpful or not!

The jeans came up true to size but a little short for my legs. I bought the size 26R because I couldn’t find the long, you will notice that I rolled them up to create the ankle skimmer look. They have a good stretch in them too, so they sit comfortably around the waist.

I got the belt in a S, which is 80cm and works well when worn high waisted.

The shirt was in the size small and fits well over my bust.

My gorgeous shoes are a 37½ and I am usually a 38 but I do have very narrow feet, so generally I have to go down half a size in luxury brands.

Love Life,
